What’s up!
Okay, let’s start with the important things first.
I don’t drink coffee.
Coffee makes me shake. Coffee makes me uber-hyper-mega energetic!
You don’t want that.
I’m energetic enough as it is (in a good way!)
Why do you need to know this?
Don’t know really.
But if you want to train with me at 6am in the morning, you won’t have to wait for me to become caffeinated before I can function properly. Could be useful to know just in case I’m helping you to lift weights above your head.
Anyways, on to the question you may, or may not have been waiting for…
Why did I become a personal trainer?
At the time of qualification, I didn’t really know.
I became a fully qualified Personal Trainer at the age of 18 - straight out of high-school and head first into the health and fitness industry.
It was a scary time and I didn’t know how I wanted to apply myself in this world.
I’ve always loved health and exercise, so it seemed like a step in the right direction.
But it’s taken me about 5 years to truly be able to answer the question,
“why did I become a personal trainer.”
This is my answer:
Because sometimes we need somebody else to be able to see our potential.
This goes beyond the realms of health and fitness.
We all come from different backgrounds. With different levels of support. And sometimes, as individuals, we never see what we are capable of achieving.
We can find it hard to believe in ourselves.
Our inner critic can be so loud, that we feel worthless, and unable to achieve the things we would love to conquer.
As one human to another, I get it. I understand.
And I want to be able to offer my support, where there may be none. Because that’s my passion.
That’s my bliss.
That’s what makes me so f#@king energetic and able to live without coffee…
That’s why I became a Personal Trainer.
Some other stuff I enjoy…
